American recording artist and pop star Katy Perry goes ahead with the promotion of her upcoming album “Witness“, which is expected to be released on June 9th via Capitol Records.
The next official single is the song “Swish Swish“, which includes the guest collaboration of American female rapper Nicki Minaj. The result is a 90s retro cool piano-driven garage house anthem with a pretty sassy lyrics and some hypnotic synths. Quite good, isn’t it?
The song was written by Katy Perry herself along Minaj, Duke Dumont, Brittany Hazzard, PJ “Promnite” Sledge and Sarah Hudson, with a production signed by Dumont, Sledge and Noah “Mailbox” Passovoy.
This new promotional single was released as instant grat with the pre-order of the album on digital retailers and streaming services on Friday, May 19th. According to Perry, the song is about “liberation from all the negative and the people that try and keep you down“.
The official music video is expected to be premiered on Monday, May 21st after the 2017 Billboard Music Awards.
