Laura Marano is an American actress and singer. She has become known worldwide as the main character in the Disney Channel series Austin & Ally as Ally Dawson.
During 2015 Nickelodeon Kids’ Choice Awards red carpet, Marano confirmed that she signed a record deal with Big Machine Records and Universal Music, and is planning to release her debut album sometime this year. Unfortunately the deal was broken in February 2017 (via Billboard)
During MTV Video Music Awards red carpet, Marano confirmed that her music is pop-rock like Maroon 5, Katy Perry or 5 Seconds of Summer, and she also added that we can hear “something” later this year.
The first single from this project “Boombox“ was released on digital retailers on March 11th, 2016 “La La” was released as the album’s second single on August 25th.
In May 2017, Marano signed a new deal with Warner Music Group to release her debut album, later this year.
