Norwegian deejay, and record producer Matoma has delivered a quite unexpected new single with some exciting collaborations on it. It’s called “Party On the West Coast” and it was released on digital retailers and streaming services on Sunday, May 21st.
The piece includes the guest collaboration of Faith Evans and it samples The Notorious B.I.G.‘s classic “Old Thing Back“, and some extra support of American rapper Snoop Dogg. The result serves to celebrate that he has achieved GOLD sales in the American market and it’s a tribute to Biggie in honor to celebrate his birthday. About the track, he shared:
The impact that this great man has had on me not only with the music that fueled me as a teenager but to this insane achievement in the beginning of my career, words can’t describe. A couple months ago I got in touch with another legend Faith Hill and asked to put this collaboration together to celebrate Biggie’s birthday. She and her team are amazing, her voice and vibe is incredible, and now I’m honored to share a song with her, the one and only Snoop Dogg and the legend who changed my life, like I think he changed so many lives, and to who I am always grateful
