Get ready! More than two years since the release of her self-titled album, Colombian global star and TV personality Shakira is back with a new single and we are really excited.
The singer has released her comeback single called “Chantaje” on October 28th via her own imprint Ace Entertainment and Sony Music, and it includes the guest collaboration of Colombian artist Maluma. HOT ?
This slow-burning anthem arrives just after slaying the charts this summer with latin bop “La bicicleta“, her recent collaboration along Carlos Vives.
The music video for this new single was filmed in Barcelona and directed by Jaume De La Iguana. It was premiered through Vevo on Friday November 18th.
The song was written by Shakira herself along Juan Luis Londoño Arias, Joel Antonio López Castro, Kevin Mauricio, Jiménez Londoño and Bryan Snaider Lezcano Chaverra. There’s also confirmed an English version called “Blackmail“.
“Chantaje” is the lead single taken from Shakira’s eleventh studio album. In this new project, she has worked with Dave Clauss, MAGIC!’s Nasri Atweh, Jamaican producer Dwayne “Supa Dups” Chin-Quee among others.
A special salsa version of the single was released on February 2nd.
